Registration opens Sunday, January 25, 2026
Divisions:
Division K = 4 year olds & kindergartners (5 years old). Athletes must be 4 years old no later than August 31, 2024.
Division A = Grades 1 & 2
Division 1 = Grades 3 & 4
Division 2 = Grades 5 & 6
Division 3 = Grades 7 & 8
Division 4 = Grades 9 – 12
Who can play?
The league is open to girls and boys grades PK – 12. All teams are co-ed (girls and boys playing on same team). Unfortunately we never have enough girls to register to have girls-only teams.
Playing up with older divisions:
We allow players to play up only one grade. Player must be registered with actual division first then email to ababall1990@aol.com requesting to play up.
Goal & Ball sizes:
Division K = 27.5 ball and 8 feet goal
Division A = 28.5 ball and 9 feet goal
Division 1 = 28.5 ball and 10 feet goal
Division 2 = 28.5 ball and 10 feet goal
Divisions 3 & 4 = 29.5 ball and 10 feet goal
Fee:
Cost is $200 for early registration (January 25th – February 22nd) and $210 for regular registration (February 23rd – March 1st). We offer a $25 sibling discount.
Registration could close prior to March 1st once a division has maxed out to match the number of volunteer coaches, so register early.
Fee includes a reversible jersey, shorts, 3 practices, 7 regular-season games plus playoffs, pictures and awards for 1st and 2nd place per division.
MANDATORY Evaluation:
Tuesday, March 3rd; 6:30pm – 7:15pm (Last name A – M), 7:15pm – 8:00pm (Last names N – Z) at Just Play Humble (formerly known as The Gym), 2325 Atascocita Road, Humble, TX 77396
OR
Saturday, March 7th 9:00am – 9:30am; (ALL Names) @ Atascocita High School (13300 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble, TX 77346)
May attend either date.
Player evaluation is MANDATORY for all registered players. If a registered player does NOT attend the mandatory evaluation, their spot will be taken by a player that either walks up to register or on the waiting list. The registration fee will be refunded but a $50 cancellation fee will be withheld.
Team rosters will be limited to a first come first serve basis and space is limited due to gym availability for practices and games. REGISTER EARLY
Practices & Games:
All games and practices are held at either Just Play Humble, or Atascocita High School as needed, depending on the number of teams.
Practices: Practices will begin the week of March 23rd. Each team will get two practices prior to the first game. Once games start, there will not be weekly practices, just games. Each team will also get a practice mid season. Each team will play twice per week; Tuesdays & Saturdays OR Fridays & Saturdays. For the weekday games,
the ABA times are from 6pm – 10pm. The younger teams go first then the older divisions come later.
Volunteer Coaching:
We are in need of volunteer coaches to have a successful league. If interested, please register yourself as a coach when registering your child. Any coaching questions, please email the Registrar at ababall1990@aol.com.
